We provided the promotional visuals for the project “Social Fes ®”, in the form of “NEO BON ODORI” managed by Ozone LLC, expressing a world where after each and every SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) is achieved.
There remain various theories, but it has been said that Bon-odori, conducted during the O-bon period, was a ritual to commemorate the dead. However, in the current state of the globe, over 40,000 lives of animals have fallen to extinction, and through economic activities many lives have been mercilessly lost. NEO BON ODORI was established to create a day where the importance of not only human lives, but all forms of life, was recognized.
With exclusive wireless headphones and wearing animal masks, upon initial views it may seem like a silent dancing event. On a tower the DJ stands, and the music is distributed and shared through the participant’s headphones, in a “Silent Fes ® method”. Always encouraging anyone to move their bodies in sync with the dance music, the colors come out not by lanterns and red-and-white draping, but through beautiful visuals and natural lighting.
